There is exactly one specification that matters on a transporter and it is not range. It is how long the pattern buffer will hold a person while something else is going wrong.

Ninety-four minutes

The TR-7 holds a full personnel pattern for ninety-four minutes on buffer power alone, with no input from ship's mains. That number is not a marketing figure; it is the measured floor across forty destructive test cycles at the low end of our power tolerance band. The typical figure is closer to a hundred and ten minutes.

Three buffers, three power sources

Each of the three pattern buffers runs on an independent supply. Losing ship's power puts you on buffer one. Losing buffer one hands off to buffer two without a pattern refresh. We have never lost a pattern in testing, and we have tried hard to.

The log is the feature

Four hundred transports retained at full fidelity, not summarised. When something goes subtly wrong three weeks later, the log is what tells you which cycle introduced it. Most units keep a counter and a fault code. That is not enough to diagnose anything.

Fitting notes

The TR-7 needs 3.2 metres of overhead clearance for the emitter array and a deck rated for point loads at each pad foot. Read pattern log interpretation before your first maintenance cycle.
