HULL COMPATIBILITY
We sell this unit to survey operators, salvage crews working contested wrecks, and research vessels that need to observe something without changing its behaviour. We do not sell it to anyone who cannot produce a licence, and the compliance package is not optional.
Eleven bands, one index
The CFM-2 modulates refractive index across eleven bands from visible through long infrared. It is not invisibility — a determined active sensor sweep at close range will find you. It is the difference between being unremarkable and being a contact worth investigating.
The interlock is not a setting
The modulator's weapons interlock is hard-wired into the power distribution board. Engaging weapons power drops the field. There is no configuration option, no service mode and no firmware path around it, because Article 14 says there cannot be. Customers who ask us to remove it are politely declined and, in two memorable cases, reported.
Paperwork included
Every CFM-2 ships with a compliance dossier covering fourteen jurisdictions: what you may operate, where, under what notification requirements. Our treaty compliance checklist covers the operational side.
Fitting notes
The CFM-2 needs a dedicated 1.2 GW tap and a hull survey before installation — the field geometry follows the hull, and unexpected protrusions produce a visible seam. Book the survey through Services.
